CAPE COD TIMES (5/21/99)
CAMBRIDGE - The Harwich High School Sailing Team ranks fifth out of 22 schools after day one of the Massachusetts High School Championships yesterday at MIT in a shifty northwesterly wind. Falmouth and Barnstable stand seventh and 11th, respectively. The event is a two day contest flooded with private schools, each with long sailing history. Harwich's program is in its second year. But Harwich's team with 59 points, scored just behind St. John's Prep (54) and Saint Sebastian's (47), Notere Dame (43) and first place finisher Manchester (26). Falmouth notched 63 points; Barnstable, 80. Doing the work for Harwich were Mike O'Loughlin (skipper) and Alexandra Johnson with 21 points, and Peter Donovan (skipper) and Josh Mongeau with 38 points. O'Loughlin also earned a first place finish in one of the series races.
